Pikmin's been gone for eight years, long enough for some of the 20-somethings who played it on GameCube to grow into adults who rarely game. There will be some holdovers, of course, but plenty of people seeing this title (myself included) will be new to its brand of strategy. There's not a violent pixel in Pikmin 3's entire palette (a strength if you're sick of blood and gore, a weakness if you've lived your life on Call of Duty), but there's oodles of originality.
